Co-Founder

Sophia Li

Sophia Li, a senior at Diamond Bar High School (CA), is passionate about community building and leadership, which inspired her to start Project Blush. Outside of her work with the organization, she enjoys playing the cello, creating realism art, and spending time with friends—whether exploring, grabbing matcha, or just having fun. She loves traveling, learning about new cultures, and reading to broaden her perspective. Sophia hopes to pursue a career in communications or human resources, and envisions Project Blush growing into a global, empowering force for communities.

Shelby Chang

Shelby Chang is a senior at Diamond Bar High School (CA), and felt inspired to create Project Blush through experiencing firsthand the transformative power of feeling comfortable in one's own body. She looks forward to continuing Project Blush's growing initiative in creating a global movement to make self-care more accessible to more communities around the world. Outside of Project Blush, Shelby is a curious learner and avid foodie—often found adding to her growing list of “Must Eats” or spinning a wheel to pick her next read.

Chief Operations Officer

Cynthia Liu

Cynthia Liu is a senior at Diamond Bar High School (CA) passionate about building communities and driving change through Project Blush. As Chief Operations Officer, she thrives on late-night brainstorms and spontaneous planning with her team. Outside of Project Blush, Cynthia dives into neuroscience and cognitive science, where logic meets the unknown. She’s often found balancing fundraisers with biological reagents in her research. Cynthia is excited to help scale Project Blush to reach underserved communities worldwide—one kit at a time!

The Marketing Department of Project Blush is responsible for promoting our initiatives, increasing brand visibility, and engaging our community through creative and strategic content. This department oversees the planning and execution of social media campaigns, graphic design, branding, and outreach strategies to spread awareness about our mission and events.

Chiamaka Lekwauwa is a sophomore at Gov. John R. Rogers High School and a Video Content Creator for Project Blush. She’s passionate about using digital storytelling to promote self-care, wellness, and confidence among youth. Through her content, Chiamaka inspires others to embrace self-expression and get involved in accessible ways.

Christianne is a senior at Cypress Creek High School in Texas and part of Project Blush’s YouTube team. She enjoys designing clothes, singing, and reading. A social and observant person, she loves connecting with others and finds joy in using her creativity to help the organization grow.

Aavishka Pattem is a freshman at BASIS Chandler and currently serves as a Marketing Intern at Project Blush. Passionate about creativity and community involvement. Her hobbies include archery, podcasting, and digital content creation. Aavishka is dedicated to making a positive impact through her work and personal interests.

Camelia Tang

Camelia Tang is a marketing intern for Project Blush and brings her creativity and energy to everything she does. Camelia is an avid traveler and has visited over 10 countries, filling her camera roll with many pictures of beautiful landscapes and more. Aside from traveling, she loves making plans to go wherever with her friends and trying new matcha or boba spots. She’s always full of energy, and her additional hobbies include shopping, taking digital camera pictures, trying new things, and more!

Logistics Department

The Finance & Logistics Department manages the organization’s financial operations and logistical needs. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, processing legal paperwork, coordinating grant writing, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to support Project Blush programs and chapters.

Siri Kolanupaka

Siri Kolanupaka is the Director of Logistics for Project Blush and a junior at Portola High School in Irvine, CA. When not applying for grants or checking on interns, she can be found browsing different cafes with her friends to see which has the best matcha. She is extremely passionate about the goals that Project Blush has for communities worldwide that are underserved when it comes to hygiene and sanitation.

Rebecca Yeung

Rebecca Yeung is a current senior at Diamond Bar High School (CA) and a logistics officer specializing in legal affairs for Project Blush. She loves to travel the world and is interested in cheer and stunt. Furthermore, she has a strong passion for law and politics that she hopes to pursue in the future.

By encouraging self-care as a means of empowerment, Project Blush provides essential hygiene resources to meet physical needs while fostering dignity, self-worth, and confidence. Beyond distributing resources, we strive to spark conversations about the importance of hygiene equity, advocate for long-term solutions, and build a network of like-minded peers to support our dedication to creating a more inclusive and compassionate society.

The Idea for Project Blush

Project Blush began as just an idea shared between founders Sophia Li and Shelby Chang. Driven by passion and determination, they started the club without knowing how far it would grow.

Project Blush is established

Project Blush is established at Diamond Bar High with the vision of creating a more inclusive and equitable society. We embark on a journey to empower women and champion their rights.
